Rola Motors Mercedes-Benz, based in Somerset-West, is the longest standing Mercedes-Benz dealership in the Western Cape still under original ownership. The dealership prides itself in creating excellent experiences for customers, with cutting-edge products and services, such as the new X-Class bakkie.
The new Mercedes-Benz X-Class showcases the trademark features of a bakkie, combining the innovation and style that only Mercedes-Benz can offer. The X-Class shifts the limits of the classic bakkie, while remaining true to its roots. Although it breaks fresh ground as an urban lifestyle and family vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class remains a robust, functional and extremely capable vehicle that will stand up to practically any challenge.
Rola Motors Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador and well-known South African Olympic swimmer, Chad le Clos, test drove the X-Class bakkie and was pleased to inform us that he was delightfully surprised and impressed with its capability and innovative style. We would like to invite you to come and test drive the luxurious lifestyle bakkie to experience first-hand what the hype is all about. You can fit a wide range of accessories to the X-Class to suit your lifestyle needs at Rola Motor Mercedes-Benz. Whether you find yourself cycling, surfing, golfing or running, the X-Class will fit your lifestyle like a glove. From here on, exciting new experiences await, and the Mercedes-Benz X-Class will take you there.
As a leading motor group based in the Western Cape, Rola embraces mobility and endorses a healthy lifestyle with lifestyle ambassadors Chad le Clos, Ariane Lüthi and Liezel van der Westhuizen representing the brand.
Advocating these values have become a community drive for the Rola group and therefore it also came as no surprise, after a recent management visit to the Qhubeka bicycle assembly hub at Nederburg Wine Estate, that Rola decided to enter into a partnership with Qhubeka in 2019.
The aim is to provide bicycles to school communities, over a 3-year period in order to improve mobility. For every bicycle that Rola donates, Qhubeka will donate another. This will enable Rola to jointly give away 700 bicycles over a 3 year period.
The word Qhubeka means “moving forward” in Nguni.
The Qhubeka initiative, bicycles change lives, sees local women working together to assemble and build bicycles daily in order to assist communities in South Africa. The goal is to offer safe and cost-effective mobility to communities with restricted transport options.
The Rola Motor Group will continue to support initiatives which enhances mobility and promotes a healthy lifestyle, such as Qhubeka. The project will also be implemented internally amongst Rola staff members.
Watch out for highlighted events on the 2019 Rola calendar such as the Mercedes-Benz UCI World Championships and the Absa Cape Epic, which will see Rola Motor Group CEO, Marius Claassen, tackling the most challenging mountain bike stage race in the world once again.
