Conquer a distance of 695km at the CA2CX MTB Tour


The CA2CX MTB Tour, celebrating its 14th tour this year is a mountain bike challenge that every keen mountain biker should experience. The Tour will take place from 16-23 June 2019 from Cape Town to Knysna where riders will conquer a distance of 695km to arrive in time for the Knysna Oyster Festival. Participants of the CA2CX MTB Tour can participate in the Knysna Cycle Tour MTB or Road event, should they desire.

The 6-day CA2CX MTB event will take riders from Eaglevlei via Worcester, Montagu, through the Klein Karoo towns of Ladismith, Van Wyksdorp, over the Rooiberg Pass near Calitzdorp to Oudtshoorn, down the Montagu Pass to George, and then travelling over 8 passes to finish in Knysna. The daily route of about 100km per stage consist of farmlands, spectacular landscapes and amazing views with back-up vehicles.

The package of R11 950 per person include accommodation throughout the race at 3 – 5 star guesthouses including all meals (breakfast, lunch packs and supper), medical support, transport of luggage, feed box and goodie bag, back up vehicles, cycling tour jacket, and cycling top. The package excludes: bike service, message package, transport back to Cape Town, transport from and to the Cape Town International Airport and drinks at supper (cash bar).

Participants can enter in one of the following groups: 14 – 18kph, 18 – 22kph or 22kph group.

Every year CA2CX Tour returns favour by giving back to the community. A gala evening will be held in George on the eve of the last stage with the traditional auction to raise funds for the Herberg Children home in Robertson, as beneficiary for the CA2CX MTB Tour.
