Wellington and Paarl, Welbedacht and Rhebokskloof, mountain trails and open road with time trials, tarmac and dirt track. All these come together in ONE exciting challenge, Breedenet Cape Duo from the 5-7 October 2018.
Breedenet Cape Duo challenges cyclists to push their speed and climbing skill on Day 1 as they complete the approximately 120km road event over Bainskloof Pass through to Slanghoek and back.
Day 2 challenges participants to the take on the infamous, epic Welvanpas mountain trial testing their speed and handling.
Day 3 will give them a golden opportunity to make up time as they hit the road in Paarl for a 45km time trial, with the final MTB run in the hills of Rhebokskloof to finish in front of adoring fans.
The best accumulated time winners will then have the bragging rights as the best complete cyclists being named the BREEDENET CAPE DUO Champions.
Participating in this event also helps fund children from the Ground Level Early Childhood Development Centre in “Blikkiesdorp” in Delft. They are fed, clothed, educated and prepared for Grade 1.
Their parents are assisted in the school enrolment process, school fees for the year are paid, school uniforms and stationary is provided, all to ensure these little ones have a good start to their schooling career. 2018 saw 35 GL students successfully start Grade 1 due to the support received.
