The 99er Cycle Tour, now in its 19th year, forms part of the Western Province Cycling League and is the first race of the 2017 season. The event will take place on 11 February 2017 at Durbanville Race course with the legendary climbs of Vissershok and Odendaal providing a great challenge to cyclists.
The 99er is the third largest cycle race in the Western Cape and creates an excellent preparation opportunity for riders participating in the The Cape Town Cycle Tour in March. The race is organized and hosted by the El Shaddai Christian School in Durbanville with the event being the main fund raising activity for the school. There are over 350 volunteers involved including parents, staff, pupils, alumni and past parents on race day. About R50 000 was donated to the 4 charities supported by the 99er in 2016.
Please take note that early entries close at 23h59 on 30 January 2017, while online entries for seeding race close 23h59 on 6 February 2017. Seeding and entry into the race is subject to availability. Late entries can also be done at number collection points or on race day, but will not be seeded.
