The 8 hour challenge – How many laps can you do in 8 hours

Following an amazing 8-hour challenge on Welbedacht wine estate in 2018, the 2019 8-hour challenge is back, but bigger and better than ever-spanning over 3 days with camping as an option. “It will also be the first time we introduce The Ultimate challenge.”

This event will take place from Saturday, 27 April until Monday, 29 April. The Saturday will consist of Trail running where you can choose between going solo or as a 2-man relay (fun or extreme). You can also do the “Dress in pink” run/MTB relay. Sunday will consist of the MTB solo race, the eBike race as well as the Extreme and Fun 2-man relay races. Finally, the popular Duathlon will take place on the Monday, once again solo or as an Extreme or Fun 2-man relay team.

The Ultimate challenge will take place over all three days, and this is where corporates can get involved for maximum brand exposure. R10 000 per team of four will get your athletes clothing and bibs embroidered with the company logo, have rights to set up a gazebo to sell goods or alternatively set up an activation station, have website exposure and many more VIP benefits during the weekend. 30 male and 30 females will be able to compete for this Ultimate title. If you don’t have athletes, we will give you amazing athletes to pick from a hat at an exclusive braai at the farm. Individual entry is R1950 for the three days.
